MAKING SENSE OF PRAYER

For a substantial part of my life I took prayer to be a one-way communication. I talked to God, but He never seemed to talk back. My attempts to connect with God as Divine creator, by invoking His presence and listening for His word weren’t too successful. I resigned myself to praying to God and not expecting a response.
